Prophets and apostles are blueprint carriers. Hence why they are noted as the foundation upon which the church is built. Ephesians 2:19-22 clearly explains how this building is something that is continual not a one time thing that finished in the first century with the early church.
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the [chief] Cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues [to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
Ephesians 2:19-22 AMP
Apostles and prophets however carry these blueprints differently. It is very necessary for apostles and prophets to realise how they each carry blueprints differently in order to give room to each other’s role and importance in the establishment of these blueprints.
As in the days of Nehemiah, Ezra and Nehemiah carried different blueprints. However both were needed in the completion of God’s assignment for that time and era. Ezra carried the blueprint of the word and worship and Nehemiah the restoration of government.
Prophets carry blueprints of pure worship. It is important for apostles to recognise that in their building of the house, they need the prophet to release the blueprint of the heart of the father in worship and word.
The blueprints of the apostles are incomplete without embracing the blueprint of the prophets. Obviously Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone but as the blueprints of the apostles and prophets complement and complete each other, and are in unity they are a foundation upon which the ecclesia is built strong and come into the unity of faith. The other ministry gifts of Christ cannot build correctly without the foundational blueprints of the apostles and prophets, hence why in these past 1700 years with the large abscence of these two functions we have had a “church” built upon religious philosophy and man-made religion. This has disempowered believers and has dumbed down and stripped them of their governing inheritance.
Elijah was a prophet who carried the blueprint of the father’s design for worship. Hence the Spirit of Elijah turns the hearts of the children to the father and the father to the children.
In these days the spirit of Elijah is revealing the blueprint of true worship just like Elijah rebuilt the broken down altar, in 1 Kings 18. In this hour, the spirit of Elijah is declaring Amos 9:11 the “rebuilding” of the tabernacle of David, echoing Jesus’ word to the samaritan woman in John 4:24 that He is “requiring” not suggesting, but “requiring” a people who will worship in spirit and truth.
An Exhortation to Apostles
I really felt the heart of God to emplore apostles in this hour to embrace the prophets He has brought alongside you, heed their voice and the blueprint they carry as your blueprint is incomplete without it. They are not “controlling” they are earnest to see the space made for worship and presence to create the place and path for the return of the children to the heart of the father in intimacy and pure worship with no religion attached.
This is what prophets live and breath, they pay a high price for purity and they are a gift from the Father to be heard and honoured.
