Love rules in a life that has been “lost”. Love will bring forth fruits of bravery, selflessness, honour, loyalty, honesty, faithfulness, humility and kindness. This kind of love in action demonstrates a gospel of hope to the world and unveils the mystery of Christ that cannot be accessed by the toiling and sweat of one’s brow. A contradiction to the trajectory of this age but a truth and fire that’s shines bright and cannot be quenched or put out.
A life lost to love is a life Jesus said distinguishes and qualifies one as His disciple.
Matthew 10:38 – 39
“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”
However, a life lost and surrendered to fear is a life lived to self-preserve. It is a pursuit of one given to “saving” their life.
When “saving” our life is priority we are unable to walk in true integrity which the bible explains “preserves” our way (psalm 25:21). We are unable to truly love.
As Paul said above all pursue love. In other words, above all learn how to loose your life and in that you will learn what it is to love. This is the maturing of the saints. To be “perfected” and matured in love.
1 John 4: 18
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
When our life is lost to fear we instead find our self on the “crooked” way which is treacherous and full of snares (Proverbs 29:25).
If self-preservation is front and centre in our lives we will be sure to see these fruits manifest in our life; dishonour, cowardice, disloyalty, dishonesty, lying, cheating, control, unfaithfulness, pride, selfishness,
stealing etc.
The purifying fire that is upon the church in this hour is to address and challenge the heart to repentance in the areas given to pursuit of self. It is to bring forth a bride purified whose life is lost and rules in love.
As gross darkness covers the earth in this day, we as believers are privileged to be the gate of salvation and glory for nations to come to. In these times learning to be a true disciple of Christ and loosing your life will be imperative for this glory of the Lord to be seen upon you (Isaiah 60, John 13:35).
Love will rule in a life lost.
Love will conquer all as it never fails.
