I heard the Lord say “In this hour step into the “Centurion” kind of Faith. Forget the systems and battles and ways of getting victory of the old season. It was all to prepare you for MIRACLES simply “at My Word”, in a moment, in an instant.
Dare to have Faith that takes you beyond what Jesus is prepared to do.
Jesus said to the Centurion in Matthew 8:7 “I will come and restore Him”. Jesus was willing to come and lay hands on Him, but the centurion said in verse 9: “For I also am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my slave, Do this, and he does it.”
The Centurion’s faith went beyond what Jesus was willing to do. His faith shifted from the anointing of healings flowing out of Him to the authority of the Kingdom Jesus was operating under.
In this hour God says the “centurion kind of faith” that understands the authority of the Kingdom will see instant miracles, sovereign, mind boggling miracles simply at His word. He understood that authority meant when he said something IT HAD TO OBEY. That is where his faith was. That EVERYTHING was SUBJECT to JESUS’ command.
That is the authority of the kingdom!
When the impossible presents itself before you, step into the “Centurion kind of faith”. Don’t be intimidated by the impossibility but be secure and confident in the authority of heaven able to make the impossible possible.
Step into the kind of faith that made Jesus marvel. Now that’s something!!!
Verse 10:
“When Jesus heard him, He marveled and said to those who followed Him [who adhered steadfastly to Him, conforming to His example in living and, if need be, in dying also], I tell you truly, I have not found so much faith as this with anyone, even in Israel.”
Remember the centurion was not a Jew and Jesus said He didn’t even find this kind of faith in all of Israel.
Israel was the nation who were told of the miracles God had performed for them throughout the generations. It was for Israel, that God parted the Red Sea. It was for Israel that He empowered them to have victory in Jericho and the promised land. It was Israel that saw the miracle of Goliath come down and the list literally goes on throughout the ages of all the miracles God had performed for them. You would think they would be soaring in realms of faith knowing how their God moves amongst them.
But no, it was the faith of an unclean gentile that grasped the concept of authority of the Kingdom that could access a miracle and not only that make Jesus marvel. The word marvel means to wonder but also “admire”. WOW!
Jesus admired a centurion!!!! Yes because of His great faith!
Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it’s impossible to please him.
Faith gives Him pleasure! It is possible for our faith to go beyond what Jesus is willing to do and cause Him such pleasure.
This isn’t faith that we drum up, it’s a faith that is born from understanding and grasping the knowledge of the authority of the Kingdom. Faith comes by hearing and hearing “THE WORD” of God. HIS WORD contains all authority and power. He spoke and the world was created. This is the authority of the Kingdom. Obviously through this scriptural precedent in Matthew 8, when we operate from that governmental kind of faith, we step into the realm of no limitations.
